This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, free anyone, post bond, or pull an official record.
Official Offices and Record Paths
Contact the office that created the record or controls the custody system. The Sumner County Sheriff's Office is at 117 West Smith Street, Gallatin, TN 37066. Its main phone is 615-452-2616, and published public office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central, Monday through Friday. For a booking sheet, actual release time, release type, receiving agency, or booking photograph, use the sheriff's Records Division or the county's Public Records Request portal.
The county Public Records Request Coordinator is in the Office of Law Director at 355 North Belvedere Drive, Gallatin, TN 37066. The published phone is 615-451-6060 and the email is PRR@sumnercountytn.gov. SCSO says many records requests may take up to ten working days, while the county portal describes a response within seven business days. Those statements concern response handling, not a guarantee that every record will be produced by then.
- For one released person or a release record, the home page explains the official search and request sequence.
- For parole or probation status, use Post-Release Supervision, TDOC FOIL, and the field-office directory.
- For a recent county event, see 24-Hour Releases. SCSO does not publish a distinct official recent-release feed.
- For a state sentence date or alert, use Release Date Lookup and VINE Inmate Check.
- For court authority, call the Sumner County clerk at 615-452-4367 and check the current court contact page before visiting.
- For TDOC historical material, use Archived Record Requests; Records Management lists 615-253-8079 for questions.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP or ICE locator linked from the relevant facility page.
A jail card that vanishes does not reveal whether the person entered the community or moved to another custodian. Ask SCSO for the episode outcome, then use the court, FOIL, VINE, BOP, or ICE system that fits the facts. Do not send identity documents to an address found on an unofficial listing.
